About Me
My experience includes work in a variety of settings including Waterloo Counseling Center, Austin Community College, and Lifeworks prior to starting my private practice in 2007. The degrees I hold are Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Geography from the University of Texas at Austin and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from St. Edward’s University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas.

Additionally, I seek ongoing study, consultation, and training in order to best assist clients with desired changes. I am also a member of The Austin Group Psychotherapy Society and the American Counseling Association.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

Clinical Specialties

    • Depression
    • LGBT
    • Chronic or Invisible Illness
    • Highly Sensitive People (HSP’s)
    • Family of Origin Concerns

I have 16 years of clinical experience working with a broad range of people and concerns. In my experience, what is most effective is adjusting my approach with each client based on personality, coping style, history, and current needs rather than concentrating exclusively in a specific area. If you have questions about my ability to help with a particular issue, don’t hesitate to ask. I will gladly provide referrals if I believe your needs are outside of my skills and experience.
